Shine on Sierra Leone
1. IHD Institute for Human Dignity is a humanitarian organization founded by students at West Virginia University (WVU). This organization run by students has made a lasting impact on the lives of the young people in Sierra Leone.
2. Windward High School in Los Angeles held a Battle of the bands concert. - All of the different Bands at the school performed and they charged a fee at the door. The proceeds went to The Kposowa Foundation. (Check out our blog for more)
3. Cheat Lake School in Morgantown WV held a read a thon. They had a corporate sponsor donate 25 cents for each book read. The students in the school read as many books as they could and they donated the proceeds to The Kposowa Foundation. They read a lot of books!!
4. Brentwood School held a Bounce for Bumpe fundraiser and had bouncy machines donated and charged a fee for entering the event.
5. Suncrest Middle School students, in West Virginia, created their own fundraising project. The students raked leaves for friends and neighbors. They took on different chores around their house and had bake sales to raise money for The Kposowa Foundation.
6. Jade Iovine and family worked with Brentwood School to host a fundraiser at the Iovine home with music by Soldier Boy and more, dancing by CONTRA-TIEMPO, and a silent auction.
